This Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image from August 14, 2002, shows large wildfires in Oregon marked with red dots. At the Oregon-California state line, the Biscuit Fire is nearly 400,000 acres and growing. To the northeast, the Tiller Complex Fire is more than 40,000 acres.
