The Sun is a powerful source of energy, which it emits as radiation we call solar energy. This webinar examines how this energy works and how heliophysics missions use it to power their science. In modern times, we rely on the Sun to produce electricity. To make this work, we use solar panels to convert sunlight into electricity. NASA’s space missions and satellites also use solar panels to generate their electricity.
This webinar is presented by NASA HEAT and delivered by Dr. Sten Odenwald. Below you will find both the original PowerPoint slide deck assembled by Dr. Odenwald and a PDF version of those slides.
