Amendment 57: E.11 Research Pathfinder for Beyond Low Earth Orbit Space Biology Investigations Step-2 Due Date Delay.

E.11 Research Pathfinder for Beyond Low Earth Orbit Space Biology Investigations solicits proposals for biological research experiments to be flown beyond LEO as internal payloads on the capsule of the Orion spacecraft during the upcoming Artemis II mission. To be eligible, proposals to this program element must utilize and will be limited to only one of the two following model organisms: Drosophila melanogaster (fruit fly) or Caenorhabditis elegans (nematode).

This program uses a binding two-step process; only those who submit a Step-1 proposal and are invited to proceed can submit a Step-2 (full) proposal. This amendment delays the Step-2 proposal due date for this program element by two weeks due to the multiple impacts of Hurricane Ian. Invited Step-2 proposals are now due October 27, 2022.

On or about October 11, 2022, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2022" (NNH22ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2022
