ROSES-23 Amendment 2: A.3 Ocean Biology and Biogeochemistry Not Solicited This Year.

When it is solicited, Program Element A.3 Ocean Biology and Biogeochemistry (OBB) focuses on better understanding the ocean’s role in the Earth System, and predicting future causes and impacts of change driven by Earth’s climate, the environment, and event-scale phenomena on ocean biology, biogeochemistry, and ecology.

ROSES-2023 Amendment 2 announces that A.3 OBB, which was TBD, will not be solicited this year. NASA anticipates this program element will be solicited in ROSES‑2024.

Prospective proposers may be interested in ROSES-2022 A.30 Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem (PACE) Mission Validation (Step-1 proposals due March 7!) and ROSES-2023 A.38 PACE Science and Applications Team (currently still TBD).

On or about March 2, 2023, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2023" (NNH23ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2023.

Questions concerning A.3 OBB or this amendment may be directed to Laura Lorenzoni at Laura.Lorenzoni@nasa.gov.
