F.12 Artemis IV Deployed Instruments Program Final Text and Due Dates Released.

F.12 Artemis IV Deployed Instruments Program solicits proposals for instruments to be deployed on the surface of the Moon during the second crewed lunar south polar landing.

Deployed instruments will consist of autonomous instrument packages installed on the lunar surface by astronauts during extravehicular activities. These science packages will enable a variety of scientific investigations.

Proposed deployed instruments must address one or more of the following identified scientific objectives from NASA’s Moon to Mars (M2M) Objectives Document. The identified objectives for this call are LPS-1, LPS-2, LPS-3, HBS-1, HBS-3, HS-1, HS-2, HS-3, HS-4, PPS-1, and PPS-2. Though instruments proposed to this solicitation may address any of these identified M2M objectives, deployed instruments that accomplish higher priority science objectives as identified in the Artemis III Science Definition Team (SDT) report may be considered more favorably.

ROSES-2024 Amendment 68 releases for final text for F.12 Artemis IV Deployed Instruments Program. Step-1 proposals are due December 17, 2024, and Step-2 proposals are due February 14, 2025.

A pre-proposal conference will occur Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 1 PM Eastern Time, see Section 3.6 for connect information.

On or about November 14, 2024, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2024" (NNH24ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2024
