Meetings
The Science Committee will meet approximately three times a year, usually in advance of NASA Advisory Council (NAC) meetings. Science Committee meeting agendas will be approved by the Executive Secretary, after coordination with the Committee Chair, and will be responsive to requests from the Administrator, the NAC Chair, and SMD Associate Administrator. The Committee Chair also serves as a NAC member and participates in every Council meeting. In the event of a necessary absence by the Science Committee Chair, a member will be designated to represent the Committee in the NAC meeting. The Executive Secretary will publish notices of upcoming Science Committee meetings in the Federal Register no less than 15 days prior to each meeting.
