On December 19, 2022 NASA Science Activation's Growing Beyond Earth® project, led by Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida, joined the Gardeners of the Galaxy Podcast to share how students from across the world are helping NASA plant researchers test edible plants to feed astronauts during long-distance space travel.
Dr. Carl Lewis and Amy Padolf shared the history and impact of their classroom-based citizen science project, including how 400 middle schools and high schools actively contribute to NASA plant research.
