Meet the What’s Up Production Team
“What’s Up” is NASA’s longest-running web video series. The program is currently produced and hosted by Raquel Villanueva, working with video editor Christopher Harris and animator Lisa Poje at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California. The series premiered in April 2007 with original host Jane Houston Jones, later followed by host-producers Preston Dyches and Chelsea Gohd.
Additional subject-matter guidance on astronomy comes from experts at NASA JPL, including Bill Dunford with support from JPL’s social-media team. The “What’s Up” team celebrates the memory of Gary Spiers, who provided many years of guidance on astronomical observations for the series.
