Amendment 35: New Opportunity in ROSES-25: B.6 Heliophysics Instrument Development for Science

B.6 Heliophysics Technology Instrument Development for Science (H-TIDeS) seeks to advance the development of new instruments and technologies and their application to enable investigation of key heliophysics science questions outlined in the 2024 Heliophysics Decadal Survey at https://nap.nationalacademies.org/catalog/27938/the-next-decade-of-discovery-in-solar-and-space-physics. This is done through innovative concepts and development/maturation of instruments and technologies. In addition, priority will be given to proposals which address and are enabling to NASA’s Moon-to-Mars objectives (m2m-objectives-exec-summary.pdf). Transformative proposals that incorporate emerging technologies, such as quantum and AI/ML, are of particular interest.

ROSES-2025 Amendment 35 presents B.6 H-TIDeS as a new program element in ROSES-2025. Neither Step-1 proposals nor NOIs are requested for this program element. Proposals are due by April 15, 2026.

On or about January 12, 2025, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2025" (NNH25ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2025
