Wide Field Camera 3 Instrument Installed (2009)

Astronaut Andrew Feustel, perched alone on the end of the Space Shuttle Atlantis' remote manipulator system arm, participates in the first of five STS-125 spacewalks to perform work on the Hubble Space Telescope, temporarily locked down in the cargo bay of the Earth-orbiting shuttle. Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3, center white panel) is nestled into the Hubble Space Telescope during Servicing Mission 4.
