The NASA Earth Action Wildland Fires program area fosters the development of technology and the use of Earth data to improve understanding of wildland fires and support operational partners. This includes collaboration with government, academia, and the private sector on fire response and proactive fire management strategies.

There are two Wildland Fires Program grants (FireSense Implementation Team) the second Wildland Fire Program grant (Earth Action:  Wildland Fires). In addition, ESTO FireSense Technology projects are available.
