The Hubble Traveling Exhibit is not accepting additional reservations at this time. If you are interested in booking the traveling exhibit at your museum in the future, please contact Faith Vowler to be added to our “interested venues” list, and we will reach out to you when there is availability in our schedule.

Venue Information and Requirements

To request the exhibit, a venue must first comply and agree to the following requirements.

  • The exhibit is typically allotted in reservation blocks lasting for several months. In some instances, in which a gap exists between reservations, an exhibitor may be permitted extra time to display the exhibit. An acceptable window must be agreed upon by both parties.
  • NASA does not charge a security deposit for the exhibit. The sponsor is responsible for having insurance to cover any damage beyond “normal wear and tear.”
  • The sponsor is responsible for having appropriate security for the duration of the exhibition.
  • There must be no admission fee charged for the exhibit. Although the exhibit may be part of a larger exposition that charges an admission fee, such as a science center, it may not be the major attraction of such an event.
  • The sponsor is responsible for providing suitable labor for both the setup and the removal of the exhibit. NASA provides a small crew to instruct and lead the installation effort.
  • The exhibit requires approximately five days to install using a crew of four. Sufficient time must be scheduled before opening to the public.
  • The exhibit is available to U.S. professional facilities (i.e., museums, science centers, planetariums, etc.) in the contiguous United States.
  • Storage for the empty crates in a dry environment must be provided by the venue. A crates list can be provided upon request.
