Amendment 61: New Opportunity in ROSES-22: A.55 Land-Cover/Land-Use Change Southeast Asia Research Initiative

The objective of this Land-Cover/Land-Use Change (LCLUC) opportunity is to synthesize the accumulated knowledge from previous studies in Southeast Asia under the NASA South/Southeast Asia Research Initiative (SARI; http://sari.umd.edu). This program element aims at synthesizing the existing research to assess the current state and trends of land-use change in the Southeast Asia region. Proposed investigations should target enhancing the conceptual underpinning of LCLUC science in the region and summarizing state-of-the-art knowledge, which will advance our understanding of the processes, drivers and impacts with the ultimate goal of developing new understanding. The inclusion of remote sensing is a requirement; proposals that don't address remote sensing, as described in Section 3.1 of the program element, will be rejected without review.

ROSES-2022 Amendment 61 releases a new opportunity in ROSES-2022 in the form of program element A.55 LCLUC SARI Synthesis. Notices of intent are requested by December 1, 2022, and proposals are due January 17, 2023.

On or about October 17, 2022, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2022" (NNH22ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2022.

Questions concerning A.55 LCLUC SARI Synthesis may be directed to Garik Gutman at garik.gutman@nasa.gov and Krishna Vadrevu at krishna.p.vadrevu@nasa.gov.
