B.3 Living With a Star Science Clarification Regarding Interagency Awards

B.3 Living With a Star Science (LWS) emphasizes the science necessary to understand those aspects of the coupled Sun-Earth system that affect life and society. The overarching goal of the LWS Program is to provide advances in scientific understanding of this system that can lead to predictive capability of the space environment conditions at Earth, other planetary systems, and in the interplanetary medium.

Section 7 of B.3 Living With a Star Science (LWS) has been clarified regarding interagency awards. The rules regarding interagency awards described in Section 1.1.1 of B.1 Heliophysics Research Program Overview apply to this program element. New text is in bold. The due dates are unchanged: Step-1 Proposals are due January 21, 2026, and the Step-2 due date will be no earlier than 60 days after Step-2 invitations have been issued, see Section 5.1.
