Constructing a Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram for Omega Centauri
This narrated video uses Hubble’s color image of the core of Omega Centauri is used to construct a Hertsprung-Russell (HR) diagram of the stars at the center of the cluster. Such a diagram sorts stars by color and brightness, which astronomers can use to trace stellar evolution.
