Moon’s Aristarchus Plateau: A Hubble Image Tour

Hubble took this image of the Aristarchus Plateau of the Moon in 2005 while looking for minerals that can be used for future Moon missions. The crater here is relatively young, so it hasn’t been bombarded by radiation that breaks minerals down as much as older craters have.
