The Hubble Space Telescope: New Views of the Universe traveling exhibit has several requirements to best showcase its stations. These requirements include, space considerations, power, and lighting; all aspects a venue must consider to provide an optimal experience for visitors.
Space
The Hubble Space Telescope’s traveling exhibit is approximately 2,200 square feet in size and has a default square configuration. The exhibit is quite flexible and can be configured to meet different floor plans. Beginning with the square floor plan, the exhibit can be worked into a fairly narrow rectangle with a minimum dimension of about 25 feet.
The standard layout for the Hubble traveling exhibit is a square which can be reconfigured for a different floor space or to add other stations.

Power
The exhibit can be powered from overhead or floor access power. Typically, power (120V, 15A) is provided to each of the eight major stations.
Lighting
The exhibit is at its best in a darker setting. Most exhibit stations have sufficient lighting to support a dark venue. Some museums deploy additional overhead spotlights. Our exhibit crew will work with each venue to ensure proper lighting.
Crates and Transportation
The exhibit is shipped in approximately 50 crates. A listing of crate size and weight is available upon request. The shipment is delivered in two 56-foot trailers. To load and unload the crates, a fork lift or equivalent is required.
