Amendment 76: New Opportunity: D.19 Critical Technologies for Large Telescopes

D.19 Critical Technologies for Large Telescopes solicits proposals to carry out a two-year Habitable Worlds Observatory (HWO) critical technologies maturation development program. These critical technologies include system approaches to ultra-stability and integrated coronagraphs that advance the design maturity, e.g., Technology Readiness Level of components and system, and identify future technology investments. These advancements will enable HWO maturation and implementation strategies.

ROSES-2023 Amendment 76 presents a new program element in ROSES-2023: D.19 Critical Technologies for Large Telescopes. No Notices of Intent are requested. Proposals are due April 3, 2024. Awards will be firm-fixed-price contracts. Only for-profit U.S. organizations are eligible to submit proposals, but there are no restrictions on the types of organizations that may participate as subawardees. No Open Science and Data Management Plan is requested.
