2023 Webb Science Snippets: Dust and the Formation of Planetary Systems

Andrea Banzatti from Texas State University, Will Rocha from Leiden Observatory, and Szanna Zsiros from the University of Szeged tell us how the James Webb Space Telescope is providing an outstanding opportunity to learn more about one of the building blocks of the universe—dust—and how it can be used to trace the formation of planetary systems and planets. Their research was presented at The First Year of JWST Science Conference, held September 11-14, 2023, at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.
