GeoOptics, Inc. operated the Community Initiative for Cellular Earth Remote Observation (CICERO) constellation of Earth observing nanosatellites from late 2018 to January 2022, provideding radio occultation data products from their Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) Radio Occultation (GNSS-RO) receivers. The CSDA evaluation found that the GeoOptics-processed RO data are scientifically useful for data assimilation and other atmospheric (e.g., bending angle, temperature) and ionospheric (e.g., total electron density) science application.
Authorized Data Use and Users
All members of the U.S. Government and researchers funded by the U.S. Government have access to GeoOptics GNSS-RO products.
